Elle Limebear has reached another major milestone as her latest single, ‘Give Me Joy’, enters the Official UK Christian & Gospel Singles Chart straight at No. 1.
The UK singer-songwriter and worship leader becomes the third female artist to top the chart since its launch.
The achievement comes after a memorable night at the 2025 StepFWD Awards, where Elle was named Female Artist of the Year. She also won Album of the Year for “Welcome to the Bloodline” and Indie/Folk/Acoustic Song of the Year for ‘Vulnerable’, completing a hat-trick of awards on the night.
The success of ‘Give Me Joy’ has also gone beyond the Christian music space. The song climbed to No. 2 on the UK iTunes Songs Chart, where releases from every genre compete alongside one another. For a gospel song to break into the Top 2 among mainstream releases is a major achievement and shows the strong support the song has received since its release.
The moment clearly meant a lot to Elle herself. In a video shared on social media, she could be seen dancing with excitement and saying, “A Jesus song in the chart.” Her reaction says a lot about what the achievement means, not only to her, but to Christian and gospel music as a whole. Seeing a song centred on Jesus sitting alongside some of the biggest mainstream releases in the country makes the moment even more significant.
Her first No. 1 on the Official UK Christian & Gospel Singles Chart comes at the beginning of a new chapter following her recent signing with Decca Records.
