I’m SRUMA (Sean Clare), a UK-based artist and professional footballer, challenging the idea that you can only be one thing. I blend my London upbringing and Ghanaian heritage through Afro-inspired sounds, evolving from Afrobeats into Afro-gospel.
My latest single, Grace, is an upbeat Afro-gospel track that combines energetic African rhythms with a message of faith and positivity. For me, music is about more than entertainment; it’s about having a message, building community and bringing people together. I want my music to inspire others to break boundaries, embrace every side of who they are and connect through something meaningful.

City Gates Worship
City Gates Worship (CGW) is the worship collective of City Gates Church in Ilford, East London. Every Sunday, singers, musicians and creatives from across the congregation lead the church in worship, bringing gospel and contemporary sounds together.
CGW’s heart is for people to meet God through the music, whether you’re listening in church or on the way to work. Wherever you are, the prayer is that you encounter His presence.
In 2012, in the midst of construction, the church building collapsed and the congregation spent four years rebuilding together. That season produced the album Rebuild (2016). In November 2025, the church celebrated 100 years since 1925, and CGW is thankful for God’s faithfulness.
Their songs are birthed out of what’s happening in the church, the good weeks and the hard ones. If you’re going through a tough season, CGW hopes these songs remind you that there is light, even in the shadows.
