Song Camp this Saturday with Capitol Music Group songwriter Nick Herbert

On Saturday 12th June A Step FWD will facilitate the fourth Song Camp following its hugely successful Songwriting Masterclass back in January. The Song Camps have been hosted by Nick Herbert – one of the most sought-after songwriters especially in the UK Christian & Gospel music scene.

Nick is a songwriter with Capitol Music Group, Integrity Music & Thank You Music Publishing. His co-writes include ASCAP award-winning ‘God’s Great Dance Floor’ (Chris Tomlin) & ‘Jesus Saves’ (Jeremy Camp) & gospel award-winning song ‘Devoted’ (Noel Robinson).

He is also part of the Worship Central team and moved from St Stephen’s, Twickenham to be part of the church planting team for Gas Street Church alongside lead pastors Tim & Rachel Hughes.

Originally from Birmingham, Nick moved to London to study fine art and went straight out of University to be a full-time worship leader at St Paul’s Anglican fellowship (later to become St Mary’s Bryanston Square) where he worked for over ten years. His passion for co-writing and encouraging artists has led him to write with many different people and it’s always fun when he is in the room! Some of his credits include: ‘God’s Great Dance Floor’ (Chris Tomlin), ‘Jesus Saves’ (Jeremy Camp), ‘Cast Your Cares’ (Guvna B & The Kingdom Choir), ‘Eyes Fixed’ (Phil Wickham), ‘Hosanna’ (Kari Jobe), ‘Gospel Song’ (Matt Redman), ‘Simple Pursuit’ (Passion), ‘You Reign’ (Mack Brock), ‘Stir a passion’ (Worship Central), ‘The Way’ (Tim Hughes).’

Nick has led worship across Europe, United States, as well as in the UK for many years. He is passionate about seeing encounter in worship – and not just that we sing a few songs together!
