Rend Collective, a Northern Irish Christian folk-rock worship band known for their energetic sound and strong congregational style, are back with a new song titled ‘Evergreen’.
The new release enters the Official UK Christian & Gospel Singles Chart straight at No.2. It is not the first time Rend Collective have landed in that position, as Salt and Light also debuted at No.2 during the second week of the chart. This makes Evergreen the second song from the band to enter the chart directly at No.2.
The song ‘Evergreen’ speaks about the faithfulness of God and the confidence believers can have in Him through every season. It is a reminder that while life may change and circumstances may shift, God remains the same.
Built around the words, “Forever and ever, You are evergreen,” the song presents God as constant, dependable and full of life. In every season and through every storm, He can still be trusted.
The line, “Yesterday, forever, You stay the same, You never change,” brings the heart of the song together. God’s faithfulness is not tied to a particular moment or season. His grace remains, He never fails, and His nature does not change.
There is also a strong sense of assurance in the words, “You go before me” and “Great is Your faithfulness.” It reminds listeners that God is already present in what lies ahead and can be counted on even when the journey is uncertain.
With its uplifting sound and clear message, ‘Evergreen’ is a song of trust and confidence in the unchanging nature of God. Seasons may come and go, but His faithfulness remains forever.
