Fresh from its six-month milestone, the Official UK Christian & Gospel Singles Chart continues to give us story after story, and this week comes with a major one. ‘Psalm 91’ by MIN.ADEOLUWA rises to No.1 in its third week on the chart, becoming the new song at the top and ending the six-week No.1 run of ‘Give Me Joy’ by Elle Limebear.

For the past six weeks, ‘Give Me Joy’ had remained untouched at the top, holding No.1 from its very first week on the chart. That run gave Elle Limebear a record of her own as the first song to spend six straight weeks at No.1 from entry week on the Official UK Christian & Gospel Singles Chart.

However, with ‘Psalm 91’ now taking over at No.1, JERUB’s longest consecutive No.1 record remains safe. ‘Kumbaya’ still holds that record with seven weeks in a row at No.1, alongside 10 weeks at the top overall during its 13-week chart run.

But the story may not be over for ‘Give Me Joy’. While Elle can no longer beat JERUB’s seven-week consecutive record on this run, she could still challenge the overall No.1 record if the song returns to the top in the coming weeks. For now, ‘Psalm 91’ has changed the story at the summit, but Elle’s chart journey is still one of the strongest the chart has seen so far.

For MIN.ADEOLUWA, this is another huge moment on the chart. ‘Psalm 91’ rises to No.1 in its third week, after continuing to build momentum since its arrival. The song is built directly around one of the most loved and powerful chapters in the Bible, a chapter many already turn to for prayer, protection, covering and reassurance. That connection makes the song an easy attraction for listeners, as it carries words people already know, believe and hold on to, now delivered in sound.

‘More Than Enough’ by Westwashere holds inside the Top 5 at No.5, continuing its strong chart journey, while ‘Make A Way’ by Tim Hughes sits at No.6 after its big entry last week.

‘Ekballo’ by KAC Music and Randolph Adjei sits at No.7, while CalledOut Music remains inside the Top 10 with ‘So Real’ at No.8.

‘Ebenezer’ by Worship Culture Collective and Temidoyin continues to hold its place at No.9, while ‘What A God’ by Joel Barber and Chroma Worship completes this week’s Top 10.

Looking at the chart this week, the biggest story is clear. ‘Psalm 91’ has risen to No.1, bringing MIN.ADEOLUWA back to the summit and ending the powerful No.1 run of ‘Give Me Joy’. Elle Limebear’s song may have moved to No.2, but its six-week run from entry week has already secured its place in the history of the chart.

Will ‘Psalm 91’ hold on to No.1 next week, will ‘Give Me Joy’ return to the top, or will another song rise and take over?

Personally, I am keeping an eye on ‘Kunta In UK’ by DC3. The story behind the song is powerful, and with the way it has entered the chart, I would not be surprised to see it rise to No.1. I might be wrong though, so let’s see what next week offers.
There is also Limoblaze to watch, especially with ‘Super Power II’ coming after his Solid Ground show and the excitement around his first vinyl release. Moments like that can easily impact how listeners engage with a song, and we have already seen songs go straight to No.1 from release on this chart.
