With 26 weeks completed, 9 chart-topping songs, over 75 songs appearing on the chart and more stories still unfolding, the chart continues to show the strength, sound and reach of UK Christian and Gospel music.
This week’s chart adds another big moment to that journey, with ‘Give Me Joy’ by Elle Limebear still holding strong at No.1, and the chart recording its highest new-entry week so far. Eight new songs land on the Top 20 this week, making it the busiest week for new entries since the Official UK Christian & Gospel Singles Chart launched.
It is one of those weeks where the chart feels very active, with new releases coming in from different sounds and expressions within UK Christian and Gospel music. From worship to gospel, afro-gospel and contemporary sounds, listeners are clearly engaging with a wide spread of songs this week.
But in the middle of all that movement, the No.1 spot remains untouched. ‘Give Me Joy’ by Elle Limebear holds on again, making it five straight weeks at No.1 from its very first week on the chart. That now gives Elle a special record of her own.
JERUB’s ‘Kumbaya’ still holds the overall record, with 10 weeks at No.1 and a longest consecutive run of seven weeks, but that run came after the song had moved to No.2 before returning to the top. Elle’s run is different. ‘Give Me Joy’ entered at No.1 and has stayed there for five consecutive weeks without moving. That is a major moment in the history of the Official UK Christian & Gospel Singles Chart.
The biggest movement this week comes from MIN.ADEOLUWA with ‘Psalm 91’, which enters straight at No.2. Coming in just behind the No.1 song is no small moment, and it makes ‘Psalm 91’ one of the strongest new entries of the week.
It is also another strong chart moment for MIN.ADEOLUWA, who now has two songs inside the Top 5 this week. ‘Psalm 91’ enters at No.2, while ‘Altar Call’ sits at No.4 in its fifth week on the chart. For an artist whose releases continue to carry a clear scriptural message, having two songs so high on the chart shows the growing connection between the music and listeners.
‘More Than Enough’ by Westwashere remains steady at No.3 this week, holding its place inside the Top 3 in its fifth week on the chart. ‘Ekballo’ by KAC Music is another new entry, coming straight in at No.5.
CalledOut Music also has a strong week, with ‘Everything And More’ climbing from No.16 to No.6, while ‘So Real’ enters at No.7. That gives CalledOut Music two songs inside the Top 10 this week.
