Faith Child and Jennifer Lee Moon return as hosts for Step FWD Awards 2022

We are delighted to officially announce that Step FWD Awards will be hosted once again by MOBO award-winning rapper Faith Child alongside beautiful actress and entrepreneur, Jennifer Lee Moon. Expectations are already running high for this years’ celebration taking place on 26th November, returning bigger and better with a new, larger capacity venue, Gaumont State Cinema, London. Following its inaugural success last year which garnered international recognition, this ‘Dove meets Stellar’ event celebrates the ‘Best of British’ Christian and Gospel talent of the past 12 months.

UK’s definitive Christian and Gospel music Awards would not be complete without a lineup of exceptionally talented artists who have each contributed outstandingly to Christian music. International Afro Gospel artist Limoblaze was the first name confirmed for the Awards. His cover of popular worship song “Jireh” in collaboration with Lecrae and Happi, is now totalling an impressive 2 million + streams on Spotify and YouTube. Who else would you like to see perform on the night? More announcements coming this week!

You will also have the opportunity to get personally involved by voting for your favourite Song of the Year from 1st October. We have been busy announcing the nominees in each of the twelve UK Christian Chart categories ready for the public vote, please check out the 126 number one songs from which to choose. You may place a vote once every 24 hours during the two weeks of voting. Competition is going to get intense before thousands of votes determine an overall Song of the Year winner!

A big highlight of the Step FWD Awards will be the honouring of many individuals who across decades have paved the way for the current generation. The Awards are an opportunity to celebrate, treasure and give thanks for our rich Christian and Gospel Music Heritage in the UK. A few Outstanding Contribution recipients are being announced ahead of the event. Lifetime Achievement and Legacy Awards will be a substantial aspect of the night along with contemporary categories such as Duo/Group, New Artist, Male and Female, Producer and Video of the Year. More details to be announced soon.
