One of the most exciting ways to influence the upcoming StepFWD Awards is by voting for your favourite Song of The Year (SOTY). With 130+ potential winners in the running from twelve months of chart-topping music, there is something for everyone’s taste, no matter how eclectic. So it’s time to get busy voting for your favourites at stepfwdawards.com/vote to maximise their chance of winning! And by taking a good look at the nominees in each category, best accessed via reels on the StepFWD Awards Instagram or our Spotify playlists, you might just discover some new favourites too.
The fifth annual StepFWD Awards 2025, celebrated at Hackney Church on Saturday 22 November and hosted by Faith Child and Jennifer Lee Moon, is the UK’s definitive “Best of British” Christian music awards celebration. Produced by AStepFWD, the home of UK Christian Charts, places StepFWD Awards in a unique position to draw on the monthly charts results. The Song of the Year nominations give a brilliant overview of just how vibrant the UK Christian music scene is with diverse music categories included such as Pop, Rock, Indie, Low-Fi, Dance, Reggae, RnB, Rap and Afrobeat alongside Gospel and Contemporary Worship. The chart-topping song of each category from every month between August 2024 to July 2025 is a potential winner of Song of the Year.
Artists such as Marizu, Sondae, Evans Ogboi and Still Shadey have been especially productive garnering several entries increasing their chances of receiving the Song of the Year accolade. A delightful newcomer is Tiffany Twisted, with several entries in the Rock and Alternative charts. Past SOTY winners include much-loved songs such as Martin Smith’s “Garment of Praise”, Annatoria’s “Stay With Me”, LZ7 “Back In Time” and KXC “Pull Me Through”. Why not visit the StepFWD Awards past winners to make sure you didn’t miss any bangers!
“The 130+ new songs nominated for Song of the Year reflect the vibrant and growing community of Christian creatives making music in the UK today. So much so that the AStepFWD monthly charts team has a job keeping up at times! To celebrate our StepFWD Awards landmark fifth anniversary, we have a powerful NEW theme, “For HIS Glory”. This theme fittingly brings our focus back to the One who makes it all possible while building on the strong sense of community and unity of purpose synonymous with StepFWD Awards.” founder O’Neil Dennis.
As before you – the public – get the final say in voting for the favourites, in addition to the 150+ industry representatives that act as judges in the UK Christian Charts. Make sure you cast your vote!
Look out for further announcements shortly as we add to the already incredible lineup of performers which includes DC3, Kent Gospel Choir, DJ Shunz, Marizu, Tofunmi Adorna, Evans Ogboi and Eugy Official.

An unmissable glitzy red carpet event complete with exhilarating live performances, StepFWD Awards is the only “Dove meets Stellar’ style dedicated CCM (Contemporary Christian Music) and Gospel awards ceremony in the UK, inspired by the call for unity in Romans 12:10: “Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honour.”
Since its inception, StepFWD Awards, representing ‘The Best of British’ talent, has established itself as a force to be reckoned with across the UK Christian music scene and beyond. With a new expanded brief to honour all Christian creatives, expect some exciting new additions and a few fresh twists to the established StepFWD Awards format.
