The Gospel Music Association has announced the nominees for the 56th Annual GMA Dove Awards, with Brandon Lake leading the artist nominations with nine, while CeCe Winans leads the female artists with seven.
This year’s theme, “Creation Sings,” sets the tone for an edition that brings together some of Christian and Gospel music’s biggest names, alongside a growing number of fresh voices. The nominations span worship, gospel, Christian rap, rock and contemporary music, reflecting the breadth of the genre today.
Brandon Lake, CeCe Winans, Forrest Frank, Josiah Queen, Lauren Daigle and Phil Wickham are among the familiar names recognised this year. There is also a strong number of first-time nominees, including Annatoria, Caleb Gordon, Leanna Crawford, Megan Woods, Miles Minnick, Patrick Mayberry, Roosevelt Stewart and SEU Worship.
One of the biggest takeaways from this year’s nominations is the continued rise of new and independent artists. More of them are finding their way onto one of Christian music’s biggest stages, showing just how much the landscape continues to grow and evolve.
The 56th Annual GMA Dove Awards will take place at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on 7 October 2025, where this year’s winners will be revealed.
