US Christian Hip Hop musician Datin will be live in London this March 2019 at Zoe Nites, with support from UK artists including Feed’Em, NoName Disciple, Minister Taf and more to be confirmed. He has released several projects including his hit mixtape “Turn It Off Vol 1,” as well as featured on many other popular artist albums.
Datin began his career as an underground battle rapper and although unsigned at the time, he was still pretty well known. Datin, having many wins under his belt (including earning the title of 106 and Park freestyle Friday champion) started to catch the attention of several record labels. He nearly signed with Shady Records before giving his life to the Lord. Now he is signed to with God Over Money Records.
His first studio album “The Roar” was released in 2016 and was his breakthrough, landed in the Billboard Magazine chart, where it placed and peaked on the Christian Albums list at No. 11, Independent Albums at No. 18, Rap Albums at No. 18, and Heatseekers Albums at No. 6.
Datin has much to say and is a well respected voice in the CHH community worldwide. Recent article by Michael Ashcraft for Godreports stated, “Rapper Datin always encouraged kids coming out of the death and jail traps of drugs and violence foisted upon unsuspecting kids by secular hip hop artists.” The piece went on to talk about how Datin was dealing with his divorce after 6 years of marriage and how he was using his experience to encourage others.
