I remember being in the choir during my first year of university, trying to learn the alto part of ‘The Anthem’ by Todd Dulaney. Halle-u-jah-ah-ah-ah. Or was it, Hal-le-lu-yaaa? At the time, the song was relatively new. Choirs, churches, singers were all putting their individual spin on it. As the years have passed, one thing remains true, this song was and will be, the anthem of the modern church.
It is more than just a song that is sung during the Easter period. It points to the power of Christ all year round. Dulaney’s songs have a way of reminding you of the magnificent power of Jesus. No matter how you are feeling, the opening lines of ‘Victory Belongs to Jesus’ makes you really question who or what could stand against the Lord. His music is more than just uplifting gospel. He has created songs of worship for our generation and his latest album “Your Great Name” has plenty. They are a constant reminder of the power of God and Dulaney’s voice and music arrangements are an added bonus.
This Saturday, 29th September, at the Worshippers Heart Concert, Todd Dulaney will be performing in the UK for the first time ever at Dominion Centre in Wood Green. He will be accompanied by his full band and UK acts including Ccippo, Wole Awolola, Ruth Clarke plus more. This is a worship experience that is not to be missed.
