Throwback Kid drops tongue in cheek new single ‘Back to the 90’s’

‘Back to the 90’s’ is the new single from Throwback Kid taken from his forthcoming EP “Caught Inside” which is out now. It’s a tongue in cheek nostalgic trip back to the days of his youth where music seemed better, trainer tongues fatter and life simpler.

Take a splash of Badly Drawn Boy, a spoonful of Jack Johnson, add a sprinkling of The Beach Boys and top off with a little Waterboys Fisherman’s Blues era and you’ll come close to Throwback Kid. Pete James has been making music in different forms since his debut cassette release back in the late 90’s. After relocating with his family to the sunshine coast of Eastbourne, East Sussex, he found himself going back to his routes and began writing and performing songs once again on his acoustic guitar. In stepped 7Core Music and some amazing local session musicians, and Throwback Kid was born.

He released his debut Throwback Kid EP “Flowing With The Feeling”, in July 2017, to high acclaim from reviewers, also gaining radio airplay across various stations including BBC Sussex, and featuring on BBC Music Introducing.

If happy feeling, acoustic-driven pop-folk is your thing then be sure to check out Throwback Kid.
