One Hope Project release worship and adoration in ‘At the Name of Jesus’

At the Name of Jesus’ by One Hope Project is rooted in the beautiful words of St Paul in Philippians 2.

In this passage, a profound image of what God is truly like is revealed. It reads like an anthem, as St Paul describes how our beautiful Jesus did not cling to His divine status, but emptied Himself, taking on human flesh and coming to our rescue through His work on the cross.

Their God is that humble, that loving, and that personal. There is no other act that could ever compare to Jesus’ sacrifice of love.

What else can be done but to bow and bend low before the King of Kings? And this is what all people will ultimately do. As St Paul declares, because of His perfect humility, Jesus has been exalted and “at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:9–11).

One Hope Project wrote this song as their way of joining with the hosts of heaven, who, witnessing His love for humanity, fall down in worship before Him. They do not want to wait until heaven; they want to declare it now. Jesus is who He says He is. For all He has done, and for all that He is, they love Him, they adore Him and they bow their knees in praise.

They pray that through the hymnal melody and the retelling of the story of salvation, this song will also help listeners worship and adore Jesus.
