TALIA DEAN is a British singer-songwriter whose journey through film, pop, and faith has shaped her into one of the UK’s most authentic and powerful new voices in worship music. Talia began her creative career in her twenties, starring in a number of independent films including HOUND AND SACRIFICE — the latter winning Best Film at the Portobello Film Festival. But it was music that truly called her, leading her to pursue singing full-time.
Her breakthrough came in 2017, when she reached the live finals of The X Factor, a moment that propelled her into the national spotlight. Soon after, Talia became the lead singer of the band KINGS DAUGHTERS, releasing the anthemic single ‘Get Up’ during the pandemic. Hailed by the press as “the song of solidarity,” the track shot to No.1 on iTunes and No.12 in the Official UK Charts. Featuring a blistering guitar solo from SIR BRIAN MAY (Queen), ‘Get Up’ was played on major radio stations across the country and charted in 44 countries worldwide.
Talia later launched her solo career, writing and performing music for film soundtracks including NEMESIS (2021), which debuted at No.1 on the UK Soundtrack iTunes Chart. Her single ‘BETTER THE DEVIL YOU KNOW‘ also topped the iTunes Blues Chart, marking another milestone in her evolving artistry.
At the end of 2023, Talia experienced a profound personal transformation after an encounter with God that changed the course of her life and music. Feeling called to step away from the mainstream pop scene, she chose to dedicate her voice and platform to worship. Her final pop release, ‘YOU MADE YOUR BED‘, became her biggest hit to date going viral on TikTok and breaking into the Official UK Top 40 in 2024.
Now entering a new chapter, Talia’s music is rooted in faith, testimony, and purpose. Her forthcoming single ‘PRAISE YOUR NAME‘ — inspired by her encounter with God and featuring another iconic guitar solo from SIR BRIAN MAY, releases on 14th November.
