Olaedo’s latest project, ‘Christian Lo-Fi Meditation: Grace & Chill Vol. 1‘, blends smooth lo-fi beats with calming Bible scriptures, creating a peaceful, reflective sound centred on faith and meditating on God’s Word.
A British-Nigerian singer, songwriter and composer, Olaedo — meaning “gold” in Igbo — is known for her soulful tone, uplifting lyrics and inspirational message. Raised between London and Nigeria, she began her musical journey at an early age, performing with Grammy Award winner Peabo Bryson at just 14 and receiving encouragement from the late David Gest.
Her debut EP, Shine Like Gold, earned MOBO and UMA nominations, with the standout single Dust With Life featured on Yahoo and later nominated for both a Jump Music Award and a Premier Gospel Award. She followed with Grow to Glow, featuring Lead Me, which was featured on TBN UK, and the radio favourite Good Life.
Her third project, Golden Skin, received funding from the Help Musicians MOBO Fund. The project championed self-love and went on to raise £2,500 for the British Skin Foundation.
Blending the Word of God with hip-hop, jazz, smooth jazz and laid-back lo-fi beats, ‘Grace & Chill Vol. 1‘ brings scripture into a fresh, modern soundscape. Created for real life — from morning routines and quiet moments to commutes, workdays and winding down — the project makes space for listeners to slow down, reset and keep God’s Word close throughout the day.
It’s faith, reflection and good vibes — all in one place.
