Philip Mensah is a dynamic multimedia leader and creative strategist serving as the Head of Graphics & Multimedia for AStepFWD. With a passion for visual storytelling and live production, he oversees the technical and creative direction of all graphics and multimedia outputs, delivering impactful, high-quality experiences across events, digital platforms and live broadcasts.
As part of the core team, Philip contributes to a growing ecosystem of initiatives that continue to push the UK Christian and Gospel space forward. His work supports key platforms including the Official UK Christian & Gospel Singles Chart, StepFWD Awards, Music & Media Conference, Poets in Autumn, the Big Church Poetry Slam, and AStepFWD’s wider programme of live conversations, campaigns and digital content.
Some of these activities are not just events but multi-layered productions requiring coordinated visuals, staging, screen content and broadcast-ready, whether for online streaminng of TV delivery. Philip plays a key role in ensuring these elements come together seamlessly, helping to maintain a consistent and recognisable standard across the brand.
Professionally, Philip works as a QA Analyst and software tester, bringing over seven years of experience in technology and Quality Assurance. This background has sharpened an exceptional attention to detail that he carries into every production, bridging the gap between precise technical execution and bold creative expression. His expertise spans video production, live streaming, LED visuals, broadcast systems, and content design.
He has been closely involved in delivering large-scale productions such as the StepFWD Awards – widely recognised as a flagship event celebrating UK Christian and Gospel music – where broadcast-ready live performances and seamless visual execution all need to align at scale for the best audience experience.
AStepFWD Founder & CEO – O’Neil Dennis, had this to say,
“Philip has been one of those people you simply cannot overlook when you talk about the journey of AStepFWD. For the past eight years, he has been there through the building stages, the pressure moments, the growth and the wins. His consistency and commitment to excellence have helped shape the standard we carry today. A lot of what people see on the outside ie. the production, the visuals has Philip’s fingerprints on it.
He is dependable and genuinely cares about getting it right, not for applause, but because he understands the responsibility behind the work. Honestly, AStepFWD would not be what it is today without his contribution. He has been a major part of the foundation, and I’m deeply grateful for the years of sacrifice and the heart he continues to bring to the vision.”
Beyond AStepFWD, Philip also serves as Head of Media at Dominion Centre Church and as an Assistant Youth Leader, investing in his local community. From overseeing worship production to supporting and mentoring young people, his role reflects both leadership and service. Dominion Centre is known for hosting major conferences, concerts, and large-scale gatherings, giving Philip valuable experience in a high-capacity live production environment. He is known for being hands-on and dependable – someone who understands the pressure that comes with delivering at scale and the responsibility of making every detail count.
Philip’s work has been about consistency, excellence and building visuals and productions that hold their own at a high level while serving the wider Christian and creative community.
