We’re very excited to announce the second special guest performer LOU FELLINGHAM for this year’s StepFWD Awards, joining already named guest Emmanuel Smith. StepFWD Awards 2023 is the unmissable ’Best of British’ black tie, red carpet gathering of creative musical talent taking place on Saturday 11th November at South London’s largest arts centre, Fairfield Halls, Croydon.
If you’ve spent any time listening to Christian music, the chances are you’ve already heard Lou Fellingham sing. Not only as a songwriter and worship leader but as a woman who has been an ever-present in the music industry for the last 28 years. An internationally known worship leader, ten albums in to a firmly-established ministry, she is known for her prophetic edge, distinctive voice, unwavering energy to see lives changed through the power of music and word. Lou is married to Nathan is an accomplished musician. He was the drummer of PHATFISH for 20 years as well as playing for many other worship artists such as Stuart Townend and Matt Redman. He is also a producer, speaker, pianist, writer. His prolific songwriting includes several new melodies to classic hymns such as ‘And can it be’ and ‘To God be the glory’. Alongside their well-loved “Worship Wednesdays” they have continued to serve the church locally and worldwide by producing coffee mornings online, concerts, Christmas events and worship sets for other churches.
StepFWD Awards is inspired by Romans 12:10: “Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honour.” The main focus is just that – showing honour to those blessing us with their musical giftings – without leaving anyone out. Expect to see new and current artists celebrated alongside those who have contributed for decades oftentimes never receiving the recognition deserved. Their combined efforts have created the diverse and lively faith-inspired music scene we have in the UK today – Song of The Year nominees alone span twelve categories across numerous genres!
