Lizzie Morgan releases “Not My Will Song Sessions”

Worship artist Lizzie Morgan has released her new EP “Not My Will Song Sessions”, a four-track project created with Essential Worship and built around worship, surrender and yielding to God.

The project opens with, “No higher calling, no greater purpose, to spend my days to bring You worship,” and that already sets the tone. Right from the start, the direction is clear. This is a worship project, but more than that, it is one that leans fully into surrender. It closes with, “Take my foot, take my path, I’m holding nothing back, fully surrendered,” and that makes the ending land in such a powerful way.

The 21-minute EP brings together “Let The Alabaster Break / Alabaster Box,” “At The Altar,” “I Wanna Go,” and “Not My Will,” with each song carrying the message forward.

It begins with “Let The Alabaster Break / Alabaster Box,” and that is such a strong way to open the EP. The song draws from the story of the alabaster box in Scripture, pointing to that costly outpouring before Jesus. It speaks to the kind of worship that is not casual, but one that comes with depth, love and sacrifice. There is also that response to the onlookers in the song, that sense of do not be offended if my praise fills the whole place, because you do not know the cost of the oil in my alabaster box.

From there, “At The Altar” follows naturally. It is a song of laying everything down before God. Nothing is withheld. Nothing is too much to offer. That same posture continues into “I Wanna Go,” which carries the heart of someone who is not only worshipping, but is also ready to follow wherever God leads.

Then the EP closes with “Not My Will,” and it ties everything together well. “Not my will but Yours, not my ways but what You want in my life” becomes the cry of the song. It is a full surrender to the will of God, to His way and to His kingdom.

What makes the project sit well is that it moves from worship into surrender so naturally. It does not feel forced. Really, that is the whole thread of the EP. From the first song to the last, it shows that worship itself is surrender.

Rather than feeling like four separate songs put together, Not My Will Song Sessions feels like one offering. Each song adds to the journey, and by the end, the message is clear.

“Not My Will Song Sessions” is now available on all major streaming platforms.
