Limoblaze and Reggie Dartey have linked up for ‘Rest II’, and this one is easy to enjoy from the first listen.

Limoblaze is one artist who has continued to carry Afro-gospel into different spaces. His sound has always had that African flavour, but still with a message of faith at the centre of it. One thing I also love about his music is how he brings Yoruba into his lyrics. That has become one of his signatures, and on this song, it gives the record more identity.

‘Rest II’ speaks about finding rest in God and not allowing the troubles around you to take your peace. The chorus carries that confidence that when trouble comes, God is still your defence. It is a simple message, but it is one many people can connect with.
