King Brandon’s “Infinity” EP explains his fears, hurts and celebrates his wins

The Nigerian Christian hip hop scene is growing with each day that passes by. More soldiers keep rising and the year 2019 had us witness new acts from the CHH space, one of which is rapper King Brandon. Dropping a debut on us in 2019 titled “Brvndon Szn”, King Brandon has yet again dropped a 4 track project to celebrate another addition to his age.

The 4 track project “Infinity” mirrors King Brandon’s state of mind; his fears, experiences and how he’s been able to overcome it. “Infinity” for him, which he defined in an intro, means endlessness, absence of a beginning, end or limits to size, a state or quality of being infinite.

Vision‘ (a potential hit track on the project) is more like a proclamation for King Brandon as he states ”2020 is the vision, at the top is my position”. Just like the sons of God are to take their places, King Brandon reaffirms his position as God’s own in the year.  ‘Flex‘ sees Brandon spit non stop fiery bars as he shows that he’s the best as long as he has the Holy Ghost inside of him. This is the declaration of those who are in Christ.

How U Feel‘ is a state of mind song which mirrors thoughts of persons about Brandon especially as he is steadily making a name for himself as an artiste. As some wait for him to fall, others wait for him to switch up his style and go secular. The track which is a dialogue between close persons have them come to a conclusion that he can always pull up and stand tall no matter what is planned against him as long as he (King Brandon) has God.

How I Feel‘ is Brandon’s response to the previous track ‘How U Feel‘. On this song he shares the hurts; the disappointment faced as an artiste but still not relenting, still infinity because it’s what he’s called to do. The track is a reflection of the happenings in the life of Brandon at that time, faced with betrayals, backstabbing, thoughts on quitting music but in all trusting God throughout. He ends it by saying; “My Jesus walked on water so I’mon walk on the sky.”
