Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter and worship leader Kaestrings has released his debut album, “Rahama (Live)”.
Kaestrings, whose real name is Kingsley Innocent, is known for songs that carry deep spiritual messages and draw listeners into sincere moments of worship. He gained widespread recognition through songs including ‘Ga Shi Nan’, meaning ‘He Is Here’, and has continued to grow into a respected voice in African worship music.
His debut album, “Rahama (Live)”, was recorded live at The Feast of Light with Kaestrings in November 2024. The 13-track project runs for one hour and 55 minutes, carrying the atmosphere of the live gathering, the response of the audience and the spontaneous moments that came during the recording.
The album explores different parts of the Christian journey. It opens with ‘Fear of God’, a song about standing firm when faced with lust, compromise and temptation, and how the fear of God becomes our strength and the beginning of wisdom.
The project also speaks about freedom from fear through the love of God, the hunger to know Him more, victory through Christ, walking by faith, healing from brokenness, surrender and the need for God to do a deeper work within us.
Songs such as ‘Nasara’, meaning ‘Victory’, ‘Tare’, meaning ‘Together’, and ‘Haske’, meaning ‘Light’, also bring out messages of hope, unity and the presence of God.
At the heart of the album is mercy. ‘Rahama’ means ‘Mercy’ in Hausa, and the song is a cry to Jesus from a heart that knows there is nowhere else to turn.
Across the 13 songs, Kaestrings moves through themes of the fear of God, love, mercy, light, victory, faith, healing and surrender, giving listeners a full picture of his sound and the heart behind his worship.
