Another week, another Official UK Christian & Gospel Singles Chart, and what a journey it has been for Elle Limebear! This week, ‘Give Me Joy’ holds on to No.1 as it completes its 13-week chart run, becoming the third song to finish its final eligible week at the top. We also have five new entries, one re-entry and another long-running song, ‘More Than Enough’ by Westwashere, reaching the end of its own 13-week journey.
For Elle Limebear, this is quite a way to finish. ‘Give Me Joy’ entered straight at No.1, spent six consecutive weeks at the top and went on to claim nine weeks at No.1 overall, just one short of JERUB’s record of 10 weeks with ‘Kumbaya’. It now leaves the chart as one of its most successful songs so far.
‘Something More’ by Cammy Barnes and Rend Collective remains at No.2 this week, holding its position after previously spending two weeks at No.1. Rend Collective also appear at No.14 with ‘Runaway Heart’, continuing their remarkable consistency on the chart.
At No.3, we have another song completing its 13-week journey. ‘More Than Enough’ by Westwashere climbs from No.4 to No.3 for its final appearance. And what a journey it has been! The song entered the chart at No.2 and has remained a strong presence throughout its run, spending much of that time inside the Top 5.
Although ‘More Than Enough’ never quite made it to No.1, reaching the end of its 13 weeks at No.3 is still a wonderful achievement. Week after week, listeners have continued to support the song, and it leaves the chart having made its own mark.
‘Lord I Wanna Know Ya’ by Sondae moves down one place to No.4 in its second week on the chart. After making an impressive debut at No.3 last week, the song remains firmly inside the Top 5.
Now to this week’s highest new entry!
‘W’ate Manim (You Have Honoured Me)’ by Diana Hamilton enters straight at No.5, making it the highest new entry of the week. It is a strong start for the song, arriving straight inside the Top 5.
‘Heaven’ by Unglued, TJB and Esther Durin moves down one place to No.6, while ‘Make A Way’ by Tim Hughes follows at No.7.
Another new entry comes from Jake & Mates featuring KXC, with ‘I Believe’ entering at No.8. Jake & Mates also have another song making a big move this week, as ‘We Praise You/Worthy Of It All’ climbs from No.17 to No.9, reaching a new peak.
That gives Jake & Mates two songs inside the Top 10 this week, a strong showing for the worship collective.
Closing this week’s Top 10 is ‘Alpha And Omega (Revelation 1:8)’ by MIN.ADEOLUWA and Brenique Adams, moving from No.12 to No.10.
This week welcomes five new entries into the Top 20. Alongside Diana Hamilton at No.5 and Jake & Mates featuring KXC at No.8, Jaz Donell makes an impressive double debut.
‘Reach The Sky’ enters at No.15, while ‘Child Of God Freestyle’ arrives at No.18. Having two songs enter the chart in the same week is a great start for Jaz Donell, and it will be interesting to see how both releases perform in the coming weeks.
The fifth new entry is ‘Simple Worship’ by New Wine Worship and Sarah Bird, entering at No.19.
We also have one re-entry this week, with ‘Prince Of Peace’ by KXC, Zo Ross-Waddell and Imi Agbo returning at No.16. KXC therefore feature on two songs this week, including the new entry ‘I Believe’ at No.8.
Outside the Top 10, ‘Kunta In UK’ by DC3 moves to No.11, followed by ‘Jesus Soldier’ by Y Shadey at No.12 and ‘What A God’ by Joel Barber and Chroma Worship at No.13.
‘Runaway Heart’ by Rend Collective sits at No.14, while ‘Ekballo’ by KAC Music is at No.17. ‘Greatness’ by Martin Smith closes the Top 20 at No.20.
A few artists appear more than once this week. Rend Collective have ‘Something More’ at No.2 alongside Cammy Barnes and ‘Runaway Heart’ at No.14. Jake & Mates appear at No.8 with ‘I Believe’ and No.9 with ‘We Praise You/Worthy Of It All’. Jaz Donell makes a double debut at No.15 and No.18, while KXC feature on ‘I Believe’ at No.8 and ‘Prince Of Peace’ at No.16.

Looking at the chart this week, ‘Give Me Joy’ and ‘More Than Enough’ both complete their 13-week runs in the Top 3. Both songs entered the chart in the same week and have maintained a strong presence throughout their journey.
But while we say goodbye to these two songs, five new entries are already beginning their own journeys. That is one of the beauties of the 13-week chart rule. It allows us to celebrate the songs that have done well while making room for others to be discovered.
And now comes the big question. With ‘Give Me Joy’ completing its final week at No.1, we are guaranteed a new chart-topper next week.
Will ‘Something More’ return to No.1, could Sondae make a move with ‘Lord I Wanna Know Ya’, or will another song rise and surprise us?
One thing is certain, the journey continues to unfold week after week.
