Step FWD came across this new release from Ike Ndolo, titled Riverside via ShinintheLight and quite liked the blend of a little gospel, a little folk and some rock n roll, mixed in with lots of passion.
Ike Ndolo was born in Missouri, after his parents moved to the United States from Nigeria. Inside Ike’s home played hymns played by his mother. This is where his love of music first began. Ike has been mentored by both Tom Booth and Matt Maher, who have encouraged and pastored him to where he is today. Ike leads worship every Sunday at his church where he is growing as a musician, as a worship leader and as a man after God’s own heart. As well as traveling the country leading others to Christ, Ike also has a great zeal for missionary work, with his travels taking him from Mexico all the way to China.
As David says in Psalm 96, “Tell his glory among the nations, among all peoples, his wondrous deeds.” Ike knows that he is called to be a servant to those around him – through his art, through his music, through his life. Ike’s worship music declares the Lord’s majesty, His wonder and His victory in our lives.
