Singer, songwriter and ordained minister Joshua Kesler was the first UK Reggae Gospel artist to appear on the popular BBC Songs of Praise and has won numerous awards. More importantly however, Joshua has a passion to share the eternal truths of God’s Word with this present generation in love, purity and compassion.
The Spurgeon College and the London School of Theology degree graduate has been writing, performing and singing music for many years and is extremely excited about his latest EP – a mixture of carefully selected hymns and spiritual songs bearing the same descriptive title.
Hymns & Spiritual Songs fuses the sounds of traditional & inspirational gospel with Reggae. Joshua told astepfwd.com, “The project inspired by the Holy Spirit is an eclectic mix of ska, calypso and was simply designed to wet the appetite and meet the needs of the masses. My heart is to serve the people who have support me beyond measure and I pray that this project will be a blessings to many until I release my long awaited album in 2017.”
To date Joshua Kesler’s gift of singing has taken him to various churches and secular events across the UK as well Barbados, Europe and America. He can be heard belting out gospel reggae with a passion and tenacity that captures his audiences across cultures, age groups and backgrounds.
An outstanding facet to Joshua’s ministry is the fact that he visits prisons regularly with renowned UK Gospel Artist Isaiah-Raymond (known from ‘Raymond & Co’) & history making ex-professional footballer, Bruce Dyer the founder of Love Life UK Outreach – a vibrant radical prison ministry making a difference in prisons across the UK. Inmates in various prisons have requested Joshua’s music again and again as they can relate to his real heart-warming delivery and the infectious joy that he brings.
