Gospel icon Wayne Ellington joins incredible Premier Gospel Awards line-up

Much-loved Gospel singer Wayne Ellington has joined an already star-studded line-up for this year’s Premier Gospel Awards. After featuring on ITV’s The Voice and BBC’s Songs of Praise, Ellington will bring his soothing vocals to the stage at the indigo at The O2 on Friday, 19th September.

The awards ceremony, which will be hosted by star of Netflix series The Diplomat – David Gyasi, brings together the gospel music community for a fantastic evening.

Ellington joins a bill which includes rapper Ghetts, as well as choirs Melodees From Heaven and The Big Sing. There’ll also be some surprise performances, announced on the evening, which simply can’t be missed.

Looking forward to the event, Muyiwa Olarewaju OBE, Director of Premier Gospel said: “We’re delighted to welcome Wayne Ellington to the Premier Gospel Awards. Wayne has been representing Gospel music for decades and we can’t wait to see what he brings to our show.”

The 2025 edition of the awards will spotlight influential voices shaping today’s music and culture, with live performances, special guest appearances and honours recognising outstanding artistic and
spiritual contribution.
