KUMBAYA by JERUB continues its strong run at No.1 on the Official UK Christian & Gospel Singles Chart, holding the top spot for another week. The song now marks nine weeks on the chart, with its continued stay at No.1 showing that the support behind it is still very much alive.
The top end of the chart stays fairly steady this week, with HALLELUJAH (WORTHY IS THE LAMB) by Chosen Sounds and Florence Kisiwaa holding No.2, while THERE’S THIS KING THAT I KNOW by Chantelle Rutendo remains at No.3. VALLEY by Thiago and DC3 also holds its place at No.4, showing that the songs leading the chart are still connecting strongly with listeners.
One of the biggest moves this week comes from REST MY HEAD by GUVNA B, which climbs from No.11 back into the Top 10 and lands at No.5. That jump is one of the clearest signs of movement this week, especially in a chart where several songs have held their positions.
THIS GOD by Min. Adeoluwa remains strong at No.6, while WE DESIRE by Chosen Sounds and Chantelle Rutendo moves to No.7. ANCIENT OF DAYS / OPEN THE EYES OF MY HEART by CalledOut Music stays at No.8, continuing its steady run on the chart.
There are also two new entries on the chart this week. NEARLY by GUVNA B enters at No.9, giving him a second song in the Top 10 alongside REST MY HEAD at No.5. LET THE BODY SING by Philippa Hanna and Israel Houghton also comes in at No.20, adding another fresh entry to this week’s Top 20.
Another point to note this week is GUVNA B joining the list of artists with double entries on the chart. REST MY HEAD sits at No.5, while NEARLY enters at No.9, giving him two songs in the Top 10. With more artists now holding multiple spots, it is still yet to be seen if any artist will land three songs on the chart in one week.
Further down the chart, there are also re-entries and new movement. LOVE SONG by Warehouse Worship re-enters at No.16, while ONLY WHAT GOD CAN GIVE by Sondae also re-enters at No.19.
Looking across the chart this week, there is a strong sense of songs holding their ground, while a few key movements still shake things up. From contemporary worship and congregational sounds to Afro-influenced and modern gospel expressions, the chart continues to reflect the different songs listeners across the UK are engaging with.
