DJ Haych’s Ones To Watch in 2020

2019 saw the U.K. Christian/Gospel Music scene thriving and the bar was set high by lots of talented singers and rappers. We will see that bar risen higher in the new year. Here are just a few U.K. Gospel Artists to look out for in 2020…

Jesse Francis

He started the year with the banger ‘Feeling Low’ with the music video featured on GRM Daily and then gave us ‘Slept’ & ‘Call Last Night’ to close out of the year. We are hoping to see a full body of work coming from this talented young man in 2020.

Marc Jones

Consistent. Bars. This is what Marc Jones has given us throughout 2019. Gave us ‘No Stress’ at the start of the year, then came with the sick EP ‘Progress’ & the single ‘Bellerin Freestyle’ which both gave us a feel for his sound even more. Now we are in 2020, we expect nothing but excellence from him this year.

Ni-Cola

This is my story, this is my song… Ni-Cola, hailing from Manchester, has been in the Gospel Industry for over a decade and now there is a feeling that she will be producing some of the best music in 2020. She closed out 2019 with ‘Good to Me’ after the success of ‘T.I.M.S (This Is My Story)’, I can’t wait to see what she brings out in 2020.

Odd Priest

Formerly of ATTY, Odd Priest aka Reisz Amos has an amazing voice & heart of worship with a twist to the norm. In 2020, he is now focused on producing music which reflects all aspects of Christian living, and we look forward to what he creates & shares with us.

Paul The Messenger

2019 was the year Paul The Messenger gave us his second album, “As I Am” and he also gave 3 great singles in ‘Personal’, ‘Moving’ and ‘Only Human’. He featured on 3 different projects last year also, however I am looking forward to what Paul, literally, produces himself in 2020 and you can expect his unique musical gifting to continue to shine through.

R-Scar

Over 145,000 streams on Spotify last year for R-Scar, where in 2019, he featured on songs with Afrvm, Saint CJ & Josoldier (check them all out) as well as giving us his own EP “7” where his catchy hooks make you really enjoy what this young man is producing. In 2020, I only expect him to increase his quality and productivity of music.

Shantéh

Say Aye, Say Aye… An amazing vocalist who really allows you to vibe with her through her music. Shantéh, her vibe, her quality, all excellent. She gave us 3 singles last year ’00:00 (Midnight)’, ’King’ & ‘Run’ and In 2020, the hope is that there will be more music coming from this gifted young woman.

Shardz

Already dropped his latest single ‘Integrity’ in 2020, however 2019 for Shardz, also known as ShardzOnTheBeat, gave us his lyrical debut EP “Grime Roots” in the summer and some of us have been vibing to it ever since. In 2020, he already has his new EP available for Pre-Order “Grace, Flows, Bars & Content”, I only expect him to go from strength to strength in 2020.

Shiv Musiq

Ministering throughout the U.K. for some time now, Shiv gave us the worship single ‘Promise’ at the end of 2019 and she has been featured on Premier Gospel. Feels like a long time coming, however there is more music coming from her this year and I know it will bless us as much as ‘Promise’ did.

Triple O

No solo releases in over 2 years, however Triple O is geared to release his latest EP “Cry Like A Man” in February 2020 where the listener can expect Triple O to open up about his personal circumstances and really give us an insight to where his music is at in 2020. I’m looking forward to Triple O bringing his EP to life with a lot more live performances.
