In 2018, the U.K. Christian/Gospel Music scene has been thriving, and it feels like it hasn’t been this amazing since late ‘90s/Early ‘00s. It gives me a sense of a shift in the whole U.K. music scene, which we will see furthered in the new year. Here are just a few U.K. Gospel Artists to look out for in 2019…

Asha Elia
With her 2 singles, ‘Walk Together’ & ‘Serve’, both coming out in 2018, The Christian R’n’B artist has given us only a taste of what is to come in 2019. She has been consistently featured on Premier Gospel & performed at Gospel Hydration’s Saved By The Vybe Concert, so I look forward to what she is due to come with in 2019.

Becca Folkes
She has ministered all over the UK this year, A worship leader and a successful gospel artist, Ms Becca Folkes has an EP to come in 2019 and to say I am excited would be an understatement. Becca gave us ‘Control’ feat. CalledOutMusic in 2018 as well as Live Lounge type videos of songs like ‘Reckless Love’, so expect even more from her next year.

FaithChild
FaithChild, touring the whole of Europe, as he does, has been featured on the Premier Gospel’s Podcast ‘Meet the Millennials’ on numerous occasions and he came out with ‘That Was Then’ in July 2018. Although he has not released an album since 2015, I can imagine this is much much more music from FaithChild next year.

K.Lewis
K.Lewis Official. 18 years of age. He came out with ‘Practice’ at the end of 2018 and the music video for the song was featured on SBTV. He has bars. He has flow. Most importantly, He is all about Jesus. Check out his latest single; however, make sure you also look out for more music from the young man in 2019.

Melvillous
Mr best believe when I tell you this aka Mr Shelly Melly who had his headline show this year and where he also released 2 singles and the EP, “No Choice” as well as being on the “Black Out 2” EP with Komenz & Happi, he has been consistently improving this year. Gaining recognition from the Gospel & Secular Music Industry, I expect nothing but excellence from Melvillous & his music in 2019.

Michael Personne
The artist formerly known as Entitled, Michael Personne, from Birmingham, is a Gospel rapper/spoken word artist who has been ministering a lot in the back end of 2018, which leads to high anticipation for new music which he has coming in 2019. Under the GL360 banner, I expect Michael to be producing some FIRE music in the coming year.

Naomi Parchment
Listen… Naomi Parchment’s creativity is so mind blowing. She gave us ‘Keep Running’ feat. Brik Liam, as a 4 part single in 2018, however what she has released compared to the snippets we get into her creativity via social media, seems so small. Originating from the U.K., now residing in the U.S, Miss Parchment has gained recognition from some of the biggest Gospel artists in the U.S. right now and in 2019, I can see her making big strides in her own lane.

Shekinah
With 3 singles this year, Shekinah, the All Lady Gospel Trio from London, have made great strides this year. From their latest single ‘Overcome’ Live to going on tour with the likes of CalledOut Music in Amsterdam, they have continued to produce excellence through their worship songs in 2018. I look forward to hearing more from them in 2019 and look forward to them ministering more in the coming year.

Stevie Valentine
5 singles this year alone, ministering all over the U.K. as well as being on the Birmingham leg of the Guvna B Album Tour this year, Stevie Valentine has stayed busy, working on his music. He spreads his message of how we need God with songs like ‘Need You’ and how the Christian walk we are on is a ‘Lifestyle’. With his evident work rate, the expectations for Stevie V are high for 2019.

Still Shadey
It is very clear that Still Shadey is much more than just a rap artist, he has a heart for people and it is evident to see his foundation is in God and God alone. He released his EP “Still Shining” this year, as well as 8 SINGLES! Still Shadey has been putting in the work and he does not slack on his craft, so in 2019, we want and pray for more excellence to shine through for this young man.
