Behind the Song: “Bamise” by Micheal Oyo feat. Osby Berry

‘Bamise’ meaning, “Helped to do it”  is a song that was born out of gratitude, woven as both a testimony and a prayer.

In this live-recorded AfroGospel anthem, UK-based voice Michael Oyo features Osby Berry, and together they harmoniously blend English and Yoruba into a seamless expression of thanksgiving that transcends continents and cultures. Every note solidifies the intimacy of a whispered prayer and the triumph of a resounding celebration.

The sound is drenched in raw worship, alive with electrifying instrumentation, yet anchored in deep reverence.

With the richness of African rhythms and instrumentals meeting the tenderness of English words of devotion, ‘Bamise’ speaks of surrender;  yielding to God’s undiluted presence, His help, and His sustaining power. It is an anthem of life’s journey, where the Alpha and the Omega (Revelation 22:13) begins, carries and completes every story.

Fundamentally, ‘Bamise’ is not just another gospel song,  but a timeless offering of gratitude and a soul-stirring call to faith and breakthrough. It echoes the hunger of a generation longing for authenticity, hope, and revival; drawing hearts into deeper places of worship and remembrance of God’s goodness.

Bamise is set to transcend walls, playlists, and gatherings worldwide. It is not to be merely heard but to be felt, lived, and proclaimed.
