Anu Omideyi announces debut solo EP with new single ‘Restore The Joy’

Anu Omideyi, choir director of The Reapers Choir, has released her debut solo worship single recently via the lyric video above. ‘Restore the Joy’ is an up-tempo, catchy track that speaks of God’s ability to restore joy, peace, love and double everything that has been lost or stolen. With its roots in Isaiah 61, particularly verses 4 and 7, the song is one of joy and hope, encouraging the listener of better times ahead, if not right now. The award-winning choir director and singer-songwriter took many by surprise when announcing that she was recording her debut solo worship EP last month and announcing “An Evening Of Worship” in Coventry on Tuesday 13th November, featuring the phenomenal Mark Beswick (see flyer below for tickets). Set to continue the trend of surprises, she releases her first track, ‘Restore the Joy‘, from the forthcoming EP “The Worship Must Go On” soon. Whilst all these moves are a surprise to some, Anu has been leading worship at her church for decades, longer than she’s been a choir director. She’s regularly invited to lead worship at different events/churches and has been professionally tutoring worship teams in other churches soon after she stopped practising as a barrister in 2015. “This all has been in the making for quite some time, I’ve just been quiet about it whilst waiting and listening for the go-ahead from the man upstairs. When he said ‘Go!’ I moved. I hope this song gets everyone moving too! Pun intended!”
