With their first ever appearance in the UK Christian Chart, singing couple Rich and Lydia Dicas scored a #3 hit with their single ‘All Things New’. The track was written and produced by Rich and published by KXC (King’s Cross Church). KXC band also had the No.1 in April’s UK Christian Chart The start of the track leaves you wondering what’s next, then once the guitar, drums and bass kick in you know you’re in for a treat. ‘All Things New’ has a memorable melody in the verses which makes the lyrics easier to remember! With the prophetic lyrics “You will make all things new…” this song is undoubtedly from hearts joined in worshipping a faithful God. It is an outrageous cry for hope to arise even in the darkest places. A very interesting first chorus, where all the instruments were played at the beginning followed by just the acoustics, making it sound empty but easy listening. Great production. The lyric video of course makes it easier to sing along as well. The middle 8 (or break) is a great build-up to the final chorus and my favourite section ‘Sing, Sing, Lord is our deliverer’ and ‘Let hope arise’ is followed again by the easy listening chorus. A great finish to the song! Once you’ve listening to the full track, you have this relaxing ‘ahhh’ feeling as if you just had a huge weight lifted off your shoulders.
