Will Gray releases gospel-influenced indie-pop song ‘Hallelujah’

Will Gray’s ‘Hallelujah’ is a gospel-influenced indie-pop song drenched in charisma and ripe with foot-pounding energy guaranteed to get you praising into the summer months. Underpinned by a simple yet ever tasteful rhythm section, the stylistic vocal production takes center stage drawing you on a journey of praising through the trials.

When discussing the release Will said “This song is a bit of a rogue one for me, I wanted to step into a slightly different sound world to reflect the reality of what a different year we’ve had and I must say that I’ve really enjoyed it. This last year has been a tough one for so many people and so I wrote Hallelujah as a reminder to myself, my wife and others that even in the midst of struggle and difficulties we can lift our hands to praise God because he has always shown himself faithful, it’s who he is. And so this song is a humble attempt to catch our hearts up in that truth.”

Falling firmly within the indie-pop sphere, Will uses intricate pop production and acoustic-driven instrumentation to re-imagine the ancient psalms and to break ground with new songs. Drawing from folk, soul, gospel and indie influences, he writes to engage the heart with both contemporary sounds and ancient themes. Following on from his latest release Psalms Vol.1, having branched out into original worship songs Will continues to write and engage with other artists to create a community of songwriters and creatives all from his home studio in London.
