Up-and-coming East London rapper Luke November drops ‘Walking Disciple’

Hailing from East London, up-and-coming rapper Luke November has become synonymous with spreading a positive message through his music. Aged 21 and already co-signed by the likes of Nafe Smallz, JAY1 and Paigey Cakey, Luke has been vocal about issues such as knife crime on BBC’s London Knife Wars, and his latest track, ‘Walking Disciple’, is an exploration of his Christian faith, with a drill beat produced by rising eighteen-year-old UK producer Lois Elisa.

“Anybody can label themselves as a Christian, but how many can call themselves a disciple?” Luke November says. “In Christianity, ‘disciple’ primarily refers to a dedicated follower of Jesus. In the ancient world, a disciple is a follower, or adherent of a teacher and only we know in our hearts if we truly are disciples. One thing I strive to do, is walk this life as a dedicated Disciple of Christ; it isn’t easy, especially in today’s day and age which is populated with deception, false idols, conformity and blasphemy but by God’s grace I’ll do just fine.”

He continues, “’Walking Disciple’ is a song that I use to express what I want my life to represent. It’s about living and surviving in a culture where many aspects of it require you to compromise your faith and belief, but regardless of where I go and what I get into, I will always bring my faith with me and remain as dedicated and loyal to my truth as can be”.
