The latest Soul Survivor live album ‘The Promise” captures the heart of worship from this summer’s Soul Survivor and Naturally Supernatural events where around 24,000 gathered across five camps to praise Jesus in exuberance, awe and intimacy.
Soul Survivor had the #1 track in September 2017’s UK Christian Chart – the national independent chart system for Christian creatives, with over 130 Judges and thousands of voting subscribers.
This album encapsulates the rawness of live worship, incorporates congregational voices and enables listeners to feel as though they are literally surrounded by the worshipper themselves! These songs have then been developed with the help of a number of well-known songwriters including Matt Redman, Nick Herbert and Phil Wickham. Executive Director of Soul Survivor, Mike Pilavachi, said,
“These songs capture a snapshot of some of the wonderful things God did this summer as thousands gathered to worship. There is something incredibly special about so many people praising together and we wanted to encapsulate that in a way that served as a resource as we all continue to worship Jesus throughout the year. Our team have been keen to write new songs that help us pour out our love to God in fresh ways, express eternal truths in a culturally relevant style, and put words to the longings of our heart today. Our hope was to write songs that people can sing as easily at home, in private times of praise, as-well-as at church and corporate times of worship.”
The album features Soul Survivor’s very own Tom Smith and Beth Croft as well as Rend Collective and grime/rap artist Guvna B. Listen to the album on Spotify and iTunes now. Connect with Soul Survivor on Twitter.
