UK artists Rivers & Robots on Feb #1 spot in UK Top 10 Chart!
In February 2015’s UK Top 10 Christian Chart we saw the Manchester based Folk/Indie group Rivers & Robots hitting the number one spot with their single ‘Fall Down’, from their 3rd full length Album ‘All Things New’.
The album is an incredible blend of folk, indie, electronic and worship and an album that is definitely worth your time. From the huge, room filling vocals to the calm accompanying synths and textures, Rivers & Robots produce creatively distinct, great music and their latest video shows no different.
aStepFWD got in contact to ask a few quick questions!
– You guys had a huge 2014, what can we look forward to in the current year?
2014 was an amazing year, and we have a lot planned for 2015! We’re writing a load of new songs with a very different sound, we’re planning some new videos too and a trip to the Philippines and Germany. And there’s some more things we’re plotting that we can’t share yet!– As a band, who has been your biggest influence?Jonathan: I couldn’t narrow it down to one! We have a very varied taste. I love anything with a great melody and great rhythms. It’s probably why the album varies so much from one track to another “White As Snow” is just acoustic guitar and vocals and then it’s followed by “Fall Down” which is almost entirely electronic. But it was a good challenge to keep it sounding consistent without losing the variation.– What was your response when you heard you were number 1?It was a big surprise to us! We’re really honoured to be included.
