In the last few months, London has been a breeding ground of negative press for young people. The capital’s murder rate statistics exceeded that of New York. For this and other reasons, TruLittle Hero Awards 2018 is very significant as an opportunity to recognise, celebrate and reward outstanding achievements of remarkable children and young people under the age of 17 years all over the country.
The TruLittle Hero Awards is a breeding ground for the next generation of leaders, influencers and positive role models as is evident from the successes of previous award nominees and winners. On the 10th of November this year, expect a spectacular awards night, to celebrate the incredible success of our young people.
This event was founded by Titi Omole and it continues to grow every year. Since the first TruLittle Hero Awards in 2012, many notable leading figures in politics, sports, music, arts and media have taken part. Nomination is by the public, of any young people person deserving to be recognised for their achievements in the field of academics, sports, music and life. They are further shortlisted after careful screening and presented to the public for voting.
The Judging Panel, made up of distinguished figures in national life, decide the final winners, taking into account the number of votes and the level of achievements. These winners will be from various areas of skills and talents whose achievements are truly extraordinary, inspiring and a lesson to other young people. They will be announced and honoured at the awards ceremony on the 10th November. TruLittle Hero categories include Samaritan, Musician, Sports and Entrepreneur to name a few.
The Voice Kids 2017 winner Jess Foley will be a Special Guest at this years extravagant night. Poets, dance groups and distinguished speakers will be present to ensure this is an unforgettable night.
TruLittle Hero Awards has not only been a highlight for the borough of Newham, attracting the attention of several dignitaries but also a model for other boroughs and areas across the country. This year is set to be one of the best yet.
