The movement and series of events THIS IS THE DAY! set out on its way 22 years ago with the vision that in the future, one day would gather together Christians from Hungary and Europe in the largest and most significant stadium in the region – The People’s Stadium – expressing their togetherness across denominational boundaries. Their events have been attended by hundreds of thousands of people from the whole Carpathian Basin in recent years, and more than 40 nations have been represented on the stage.
They believe that it is the time for gathering, God wants to gather his people together from every age group, nation and denomination. They have the faith that the large scale worship event to be held on 23rd July 2022 could be the greatest joint cry to heaven in the 21st century so far in the newly built Puskas Arena in Budapest. They want to worship the Creator as one voice and to pray for the nations, as well as to bear witness to Jesus Christ, who is the way, the truth and the life.
THIS IS THE DAY! organisers say, “The goal is to dedicate ourselves to God more deeply and they believe that we can thus have a great influence on our environment. We should like to strengthen our brothers and sisters, to have them bear witness to the love of God with their lives. The gospel will sound forth, which gives to all those who sincerely seek the Lord. We long to draw Christians into closer unity, encouraging them to accept one another. We should also like to bear visible witness to the world that we are characterised by mutual love and acceptance. Despite the differences between denominations, we desire to be together, as were Jesus’ disciples on the Mount of Transfiguration, when they saw no one else, just Him alone. We have the expectation that this will be an occasion where the glory of the Lord Jesus can shine forth amongst us.”
If you can identify with these goals, please join us and attend the event, invite your family members and your friends! THIS IS THE DAY! invites all those who are interested from Hungary, as well as the whole of Europe, who desire a renewal and are open to unity in Christ.
THIS IS THE DAY that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it! (Psalms 118:24)
