Swedish worship leader and songwriter Josefina Gniste releases the song ‘Great Is Your Faithfulness‘ on 12th February 2021. The song was originally written in Swedish and Norwegian and has proved incredibly popular in the Nordics. It has now been translated and recorded for a worldwide release. ‘Great is Your Faithfulness‘ is an anthem about the never-ending, never-failing faithfulness of God. A song of comfort and hope and a proclamation of the saving grace that’s found in Jesus Christ. The song brings a timely message about a world deeply affected by the global pandemic.

‘Great is your faithfulness‘ was originally written through a Nordic song co-write between Swedish Josefina Gniste and the Norwegians: David André Østby and Vetle Jarandsen. The song was released on the debut album of Josefina Gniste and through the Filadelfia church in Oslo, Norway. Immediately after the Swedish release, the song got off to a flying start. Many churches in the Nordics picked it up and the listeners took heart in the song’s comforting message about the faithfulness of God. Gniste’s strong, authentic voice fueled by the real-life experience of the song’s message really reach to the heart.

The song has become one of the most loved and used worship songs in the Nordic countries in modern time. It’s been on the ‘top-ten CCLI chart’ since the release and still is. It’s really become one of the classics. In October 2020, the original version “Din trofasthet” became the first original Swedish worship song to reach 1 million streams on Spotify. A record already reached in Norway, with the Norwegian version, a couple of months ahead.
