SPAC Nation. Its one name that has galvanised so much contrary & polarising views from their approach in dealing with community issues to , and media appearances notably through Hope Dealers; a gospel drill rap group.
But unlike many others churches across the country (The Message Trust & Street Connect); dealing with similar urban issues, they have grasped the attention of media platforms over the past two years; shedding light on their hope and a look into their methods of dealing with their communities.
The recent BBC Three documentary, a first of a three series programme looks at the life of a former gang leader Kevin from Beckton and other individuals in the church who’ve made a change from gang life. Among others it also looks at the struggles of a young man, who Kevin has been reaching out to in hopes of seeing a change in his life.
Whatever your opinions are of the church organisations or their methods, unless you live amongst the community or have spent time to discuss matters with them, you can only pray for them.
