David Winter is a passionate worshipper and prolific worship songwriter. His songs are sung in churches all over the world. ‘Come Holy Spirit’ is a heart cry to Holy Spirit to fill us with His presence and fulfill His promises to us, particularly those in Isaiah 61 which Jesus said are fulfilled through Him (Luke 4). His presence is both healing and unsettling and this song reflects both those realities.
