Aspiring and upcoming solo music artists and bands have the exciting the chance to win prizes worth £5000 in the Nu Soundz Artist Competition during the annual Scottish Gospel music event ‘Engage’. Included in the prize is the recording of a single in a London based studio, a photoshoot, branding, promotions, music video and a chance to perform at the Engage concert which takes place on 21st July, 2018.

Headed up by Scottish charity Heartsong Ministries, the initiative was inspired by the desire to give back to the vibrant Scottish music scene whilst offering real opportunities to up and coming artists.

The Engage flagship event is an annual worship night in Aberdeen and Edinburgh, Scotland. Heartsong Ministries intends to lift the lives of people up by providing a platform for liberty in worship where chains of traditions, sickness, problems and inhibitions are broken. Engage has partnered with other charities, which work with less-fortunate people locally and around the world such as Mission Aviation Fellowship, Food for The Hungry, Scottish Bible Society, Compassion and more.

Since the maiden event in 2011, Engage has had the privilege of encountering hundreds of people whose lives have been impacted by the power of God’s Spirit. Privileged to have hosted renowned and emerging gospel artists, and worship ministers such as Philippa Hanna, Muyiwa and Riversongz, Glowreeyah, Bob Fitts, Steph Mcleod, Ian White, Isabella, Allan McKinlay, Chevelle Franklyn, Anna Barton, Toluwanimee, Sophie Hamilton, RANAN, Sam Hibbard, Sola Okunuga, D’Amadeus, Eloho and others, Engage returns to The Assembly Rooms in Edinburgh for another night of exhilarating and inspired music featuring Philippa Hanna, Sola Okunuga, Mojisola, Muyiwa & Riversongz and host Eloho.

Nu Soundz is an exciting addition to Engage. The competition consists of 4 stages starting with artistes registering on www.engageworship.net and uploading a 1 min video of themselves doing a cover song of any Christian original song. The stages will continue through to public votes with the final 3 performing at Engage in front of our judges Muyiwa Olarewaju – Station Director of the UK’S Number One Gospel Station Premier Gospel, Philippa Hanna, Allan McKinlay and David Aird from Heart of The Matter on Black Diamond FM.

Nu Soundz Competition Deadline is 7th June 2018 and to register, artists need to create and submit/upload a 1-min video on www.engageworship.net
