‘Pray For London, Pray For Our Youth’ is currently a London-based prayer initiative. The events invites Churches, Community Leaders and the wider community to come together in unity to ‘Pray For Change’ and encourage and uplift those who have lost loved ones or been affected through knife crime and violence. Pray4Youth was birthed in response to the increase in knife crime and violence amongst our inner city youth. People from all over the city are invited to a special time of powerful prayers for youth, worship and solidarity, with powerful stories of how God changes the lives of people who were once caught up in gangs or violence.
At previous events, testimonies have been shared from Mothers whose Sons have been killed, sharing the story of forgiveness and healing for their families. Various churches and diverse communities have united together with one goal in mind and that is to pray for young people, this prayer initiative is also supported by local community leaders and various mayors of London.
Pray4Youth is expanding and have formed ‘The Pray4Youth Network’ across the London regions, consisting of Churches and individuals who will represent network in their local borough/region. This will consist of quarterly strategic prayer meetings.
This Prayer Initiative is currently organised via Faith City Church in Hackney. The next event will take place in Wood Green on Friday 23rd March 2018, this will be held at Heartlands High School, Station Road, Wood Green, N22 7ST at 7pm.
