Phil Wickham has teamed up with Gospel music legend CeCe Winans for his new Christmas single, ‘Peace on Earth’, released on Friday, 6 November 2026. The song brings together two well-loved voices in Christian and Gospel music, celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ and the peace His coming brings to the world.

The song opens with an invitation to distant hearts, speaking of hope and healing in a world filled with pain, division and uncertainty. It paints a picture of a voice calling through the noise, reminding us that even in the middle of everything happening around us, the message of salvation can still be heard. The lyrics also draw on the imagery of a shining star reaching from heaven, connecting the message to the birth of Jesus Christ.

One of the beautiful moments in the song comes with a key change that lifts the music into another level. As the song builds, the lyrics turn towards an encouragement to keep walking with courage, even through difficult seasons, and to offer our lives to Christ. He is presented as our restoration, our new beginning and the One who has remained our help through the ages.

The song then makes a declaration that brings everything together: Jesus Christ is the Saviour, and He is our peace on earth. It is a message worth holding on to, especially at Christmas, when it can be so easy to get caught up in the celebrations and forget the reason behind them.

Towards the end, the song moves into the familiar refrain from the Christmas hymn ‘O Come, All Ye Faithful’, bringing listeners to a moment of worship and adoration. It is a lovely way to close the song, having spent the previous verses speaking about the hope, healing and peace that came into the world through Jesus.

Ahead of the release, Wickham shared his excitement on Instagram, describing Christmas as one of his favourite times of the year. He also spoke about how much he had been looking forward to sharing the song with CeCe Winans, describing it as a powerful reminder that the Light of the World is here.

Musically, Wickham and Winans complement each other beautifully. Wickham’s contemporary worship style blends with Winans’ unmistakable Gospel voice, while the arrangement gradually builds towards the key change and the closing hymn. There is something special about hearing these two voices together on a Christmas song, particularly one with such a clear message.

With the Christmas season approaching, ‘Peace on Earth’ is a welcome addition to the year’s releases. Beyond the music, it leaves listeners with a reminder that the peace we long for is found in Jesus Christ, the very One whose birth we celebrate at Christmas.

‘Peace on Earth’ is out now on all major streaming platforms.
