Rikki Doolan, a pastor at Spirit Embassy Church in Tottenham, London, has just shocked the nation by releasing a song that reached number 2 in the UK Official Singles Sales and Downloads Chart.
His hit song, entitled ‘Unite The Kingdom (Come One, Come All)’, topped the charts alongside songs by Olivia Dean, Lady Gaga, and Ed Sheeran, among others, for the week starting September 12th.
Rikki Doolan went from being a homeless street musician hooked on drugs and alcohol in 2008, to radically changing his life around after an encounter with Jesus Christ and the church. He has since then released two music albums and performed in large Christian crusades around the world.

He recently performed with his gospel band in front of 1 million people in London Central (not including 2.3 million watching online). His story is truly unique, and now having his name in the top rankings of music in the country is a significant milestone in his recovery arc.
Doolan said, ”I just found it by accident online that I had got to number 2, I really didn’t realise it, it was a complete shock. I just got on my knees and thanked my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. From the streets to the charts is just unthinkable.”
The song is still charting and is available on all digital music platforms.
