New Shai Linne single & video ‘Happy Father’s Day’

Shai Linne returns with new single and music video for ‘Happy Father’s Day

The ironically titled ‘Happy Father’s Day‘ is the first single from Shai Linne’s long-awaited album, “Lyrical Theology Part 3: Sociology”, due to drop later this year. Both the song and the video (directed by Josh Wann aka Esso) showcase the pain of reflecting on a childhood without the presence of a father as well as the hope of forgiveness and transformation that comes from the gospel.

This is easily the most personal and painful song that I’ve ever recorded“, Linne says. “But it’s also hopeful in that it shows the power of redemption and that God is powerful enough to break generational patterns of sin and to create new stories and legacies rooted in faith in Jesus Christ. My hope is that the Lord would use it to minister to those with absent fathers (physical or emotional absence) and point many to the only perfect Father who will always be there and never disappoint us.”
