Multi-award-winning DJ SHUNZ returns for the third time to join another phenomenal lineup for the StepFWD Awards. This year she will be live, with the likes of Muyiwa, Asha Elia, Niiella, Jonathan Ogden, Becca Folkes, Lou Fellingham and Emmanuel Smith. StepFWD Awards is the UK’s definitive Christian and Gospel music awards taking place on Saturday 11th November at South London’s largest arts centre, Fairfield Halls, Croydon.
Whether it’s dropping the latest gospel banger with lit beats, supporting international artists such as Lecrae and Limoblaze at Big Church Festival or playing the latest urban sounds on BBC 1Xtra Gospel Corner – the common denominator is DJ Shunz. Known for her versatility, Shunz infuses a mix of styles in her music and DJing from Afrobeats to Dancehall and RnB to Hiphop and Drill. Hailing from South London, this multi-talented award-winning DJ, Producer and Artist Manager has made waves both in the UK and Africa. A regular performer at StepFWD Awards with her dancehall collaboration ‘Armour’ in the running for Song of the Year in 2022, the inimitable DJ Shunz has an impressive resume with ample evidence of Blessings & Favour!
StepFWD Awards is inspired by Romans 12:10: “Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honour.” The main focus is just that – showing honour to those blessing us with their musical giftings – without leaving anyone out. Expect to see new and current artists celebrated alongside those who have contributed for decades oftentimes never receiving the recognition deserved. Their combined efforts have created the diverse and lively faith-inspired music scene we have in the UK today – Song of The Year nominees alone span twelve categories across numerous genres!
