MIN.ADEOLUWA Continues His Scripture Singing Project With ‘Psalm 91’

UK-based Gospel recording artist and songwriter MIN.ADEOLUWA continues his Scripture Singing Project with the release of his new single, ‘Psalm 91’.

The Scripture Singing Project is built around a simple vision: taking Bible passages word for word and turning them into songs that make Scripture easier to remember, meditate on and declare.

It continues the path of some of his previous releases, including ‘Mary’s Praise’, taken word for word from Luke 1:46–49, ‘Believers Creed’ from 1 Peter 2:9, ‘Kavod’ from Isaiah 60:1, and many others.

At the heart of the project is MIN.ADEOLUWA’s belief that music can be a powerful way of keeping Scripture close. In a time when there is so much competing for people’s attention, Scripture Singing uses something many of us naturally remember, music, to help people engage with the Bible and keep the words with them beyond the moment of listening.

Sharing more about the project on his socials, MIN.ADEOLUWA explained that Scripture Singing has been part of the vision he has carried since the beginning of his journey as a recording artist.

He described it as taking direct quotations from the Word of God, word for word, and turning them into sound, not simply for people to listen to, but in a way that helps them remember the words, recite the verses and keep Scripture in their hearts.

For him, that is one of the strengths of music. A song can stay with someone after only a few listens, and when the words being sung are Scripture, that same familiarity can become a way of learning and holding on to the Bible.

With ‘Psalm 91’, MIN.ADEOLUWA turns to one of the most familiar passages in Scripture, singing directly from Psalm 91:1–4.

The song carries the opening four verses of the 16-verse Psalm, with the hope that listeners will not only sing and declare those words, but will also be encouraged to return to the Bible and continue reading the rest of the chapter for themselves.

‘Psalm 91’ is another step in an ongoing journey for MIN.ADEOLUWA, with more Scripture-based songs still to come as he continues building on the vision behind Scripture Singing.

‘Psalm 91’ is out now on all major streaming platforms.
