Marvin Sapp Returns With New Single ‘He’s Not Finished’

Multi-award-winning Gospel music veteran Marvin Sapp is back with new music, ‘He’s Not Finished’ the first single from his forthcoming album Restoration.

Known for songs that have carried people through different seasons over the years, Sapp returns with a song centred on a simple message: your present situation does not mean God is finished with your story.

‘He’s Not Finished’ speaks to disappointment, mistakes, difficult seasons and those moments when it can feel like there is nothing more ahead. It is a reminder that what looks like the end of a chapter does not necessarily mean the end of the story.

Sharing the song on Instagram, Marvin Sapp said, “If you’re still here, there’s still more. And if there’s still more, He’s not finished.”

Sometimes people write you off because of where you have been or the mistakes you have made. Other times, you can be the one who writes yourself off. ‘He’s Not Finished’ speaks into that place, pointing back to the possibility of restoration and the understanding that God can still have more ahead.

Written by Marvin Sapp and Stan Jones, the song also gives a first look into the direction of Restoration. The title of the forthcoming album ties naturally into the message of the single: redemption, restoration and not allowing a mistake or difficult season to become the final chapter of your story.

Sapp first introduced ‘He’s Not Finished’ at the 41st Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards.

After many years in Gospel music, Marvin Sapp continues to make music that meets people where they are, and ‘He’s Not Finished’ is another reminder that whatever the season looks like right now, the story may still be unfolding.

‘He’s Not Finished’ is out now and available across streaming platforms, with Restoration expected later this year.
