KIRK FRANKLIN SIGNS NEW PARTNERSHIP WITH UPTOWN RECORDS

Kirk Franklin has signed a new partnership with the recently relaunched Uptown Records, working alongside his Fo Yo Soul Entertainment and TRIBL Music Group.

The deal brings Franklin into the next chapter of a label that has long been connected with R&B and hip-hop, while still keeping Fo Yo Soul and TRIBL very much part of his music journey.

Uptown Records, which is marking its 40th anniversary, has been relaunched under REPUBLIC Collective and currently works with a number of artists across hip-hop and R&B.

For Kirk Franklin, the move is another major step in a career that has consistently taken Gospel music into spaces beyond the traditional church audience.

In a statement announcing the partnership, Franklin expressed his excitement about joining the Uptown family and what lies ahead.

The announcement comes alongside the official music video for ‘Thank You For Everything’, his latest release featuring Karen Clark Sheard.

The song was released in August and becomes one of the first major releases connected to the new partnership.

Franklin has spent more than three decades blending Gospel with sounds from R&B, hip-hop and contemporary music, taking his music and message to audiences around the world.

With Fo Yo Soul, TRIBL Music Group and Uptown Records now working together, attention now turns to what Kirk Franklin has planned next.
