Jemimah Paine announced as the winner of Trinity Challenge vocal contest

Congratulations to Trinity Challenge winner Jemimah Paine who clinched the top spot in the vocal contest with her cover of Welsh hymn ‘Here Is Love’. The Trinity Challenge was launched by aStepFWD in partnership with the UK Christian Chart to identify, support and empower talented 16-25-year-olds who have a strong vocal gift.

Nashe Makaza placed 2nd with her cover of Tasha Cobbs’ ‘You Know My Name’ with a close 3rd by Tayo Michael Aeleya with his cover of ‘If Not For Your Grace’.

The challenge organisers stated, “We know there is an abundance of young Christian talent here in the UK and all over the world. For whatever reasons, even though the age of artists breaking through in the mainstream has consistently been decreasing, the Christian & Gospel music community still hasn’t seen anywhere near a comparable emergence of young talented creatives coming through.”

It is to facilitate and encourage these individuals that The Trinity Challenge was launched. Restricted to 16 – 25-year-olds, the first phase of the Trinity Challenge was titled #VocallyGifted and allowed for video submissions of cover songs only as organisers focused on finding exceptional vocal talent. The £400 worth of prizes includes £200 cash for winner and consultation sessions with Artist Development & Marketing professionals.

Well done to all the finalists and once again massive congrats to the Tayo, Nashe and Jemimah!
